Hufflepuffs.

I just read the most horrible text post about Hufflepuffs.

It said we’re not special. We’re not the center of attention. We’re not the lively people in the bunch.

 We’re not the reason people go places. We just sit back and fade into background of friend groups.

 We’re not as important as other house friends. We’re just nice and easy to be friends with.

WELL. While I may not be the reason anyone goes to a party, I am part of the fun. 

I introduce people, I make people laugh, I’m there to handle drama. 

If the party is the metaphorical people on a stage, I’m the metaphorical tech crew.

HOW CAN YOU HAVE A PRODUCTION WITHOUT A TECH CREW?

Maybe Hufflpuffs aren’t the ones getting all of the attention. 

But if we were gone, you’d notice. You’d wonder who’d listen to you, 

who’d help you with hard choices, who’d support you. 

Who would be there for you no matter what. 

Even if we’re not fond of someone and they need help, we’re right there to help.

Hufflepuffs are encouraging people. 

We don’t take center stage, we help others get there. 

We’re the nice friend that everyone needs. 

Everyone needs a Hufflepuff friend because we’re the giver of good feels. 

No matter the situation, a Hufflepuff can help and support and cheer up.

We’re unique. We’re not just the background friends. 

We’re an important part of the structure of any friend group. 

We’re needed and equally important as any friend.

Seriously. Hufflepuffs aren’t as useless as everyone likes to paint us. 

We’re just as important and just as great as the other houses.
